OUR STORY · SINCE 2013
We inspire women to live close to their own wild nature, with depth, purpose and a deep bond with Mother Earth.
Rooted in the earth. Weaving together the dark and the light, the raw and the gentle.

We don't do sugarcoated.
Wild Woman Sisterhood was born from a collective hunger. A longing to live closer to what is real: the wisdom of the earth, the knowledge of our ancestors, the changing seasons of our lives, and the sacred bonds between women that have carried us through generations.
The earth does not separate beauty from decay. Fallen leaves feed the roots, bare branches endure the winter, and life continues beneath the cold ground. A woman, too, will know seasons of fierce growth, grief, hunger and renewal. None of them makes her less whole. Each asks to be lived, not hidden.

We feel called to the raw, rooted truth of the Wild Woman. We believe sisterhood carries a responsibility: to speak the truth, to question our own convictions, to hold each other accountable, to care for one another, and to remember that the lives we lead reach far beyond ourselves.
We believe that:
Every woman who comes home to herself
clears the path
for those behind her.
WOMEN ACROSS THE WORLD HAVE FOUND THEIR WAY HERE.
Wildness is not rebellion.
It is our deepest belonging.

My wild was neverup for negotiation. Not one damn inch of it.
The earth knew me before anyone else did.
I grew up in a small Dutch village close to a wide river, where the meadows stretch to the horizon. Much of my childhood was spent in those fields, hearing the whispers of the earth, resting in the arms of the Great Mother.
I don’t know which women in my family felt this same connection, but their stories never reached me. Nature held me before women did. Even as a girl, I felt torn between two worlds, long before I knew how to move between them.

Around me, no one seemed to see what I saw or hear what I heard: the calling of nature, the silent company of those who walked before us, and the wisdom of peoples who lived in close relationship with the earth. From my twenties onward, I had to unlearn much of what I had learned to find my way back to the strong pull I had always felt.
I WAS BORN INTO A WORLD I NEVER QUITE BELONGED TO.
I feel like the first in my line.
That made me a bridgebetween the world I was raised inand the one I was born for.

Curiosity kept drawing me beyond the familiar. At twenty-three, I lived in New Zealand. One night I sat out a heavy mountain storm in a tiny cabin among the biggest trees I had ever seen. The force and sound of nature scared the hell out of me, but I had never felt so alive and so humbled by nature.
My studies took me through different fields, but life itself was always my greatest teacher. I worked many kinds of jobs, from the bottom of the ladder to higher management, and never took root in any of them. Nothing made me more unhappy than spending all day inside an office.
Over the years, I have kept building the work I believe in and expanding my work with women, sometimes able to devote myself to it fully, sometimes having to earn a living in a world that often asks me to go against my own values.
The modern world has never stopped making its demands. Nor has the wild stopped calling me home. Somewhere between the two, I learned the art of being a bridge.
The earth never asked me to become someone else in order to belong.
Becoming a mother cracked me open. Pregnant, I read a book about food and spirituality, and everything connected at once: we become what we feed ourselves, in body, mind and soul. That knowing has lived in my bones ever since.
In 2013, I founded Wild Woman Sisterhood, and it grew faster than I could have imagined. Besides becoming a mother, nothing had ever made more sense to me. If something is meant to be, you just know it. I am just as vulnerable as I am fierce, and I remain in awe of Mother Earth’s wisdom.
From pushing against the world’s expectations as a girl to becoming a single mother in my twenties and raising my two sons on my own, I’ve found my way to stay true to my soul while serving something greater than myself.
For eighteen years, I have worked with and walked alongside women, listening to their stories and struggles, and observing how many of us were forced to become someone else in order to belong. Their wisdom, together with what life has taught me, continues to shape my work and the spaces I hold.
At the heart of who I am are a deep respect for the earth, for those who came before us, and a devotion to women’s freedom and to the world our choices will shape long after we are gone.

I may be among the first in my line to remember. But I will make sure this remembering reaches far beyond my lifetime.
